Joseph Ensminger

A little bit about me.

With a passion for technology and intense personal and professional growth, I recently completed a full-time Back-End Engineering program at The Iron Yard in Nashville, TN to enhance my ability to learn at an accelerated rate, and ensure I stay current with the latest technologies. In addition to Ruby and Ruby on Rails, learning the mindset of a developer was at the core throughout the program. I worked with a variety of Ruby Gems and a PostgeSQL database to effectively build my applications. At The Iron Yard, I practiced Test Driven Development to future proof my code and to provide a solution eloquently. I have also collaborated on small teams and built out full Ruby on Rails applications from nothing to deployment.

The Iron yard Academy

I learned how to architect, create, and maintain back-end tech stacks. Researching, critical thinking, coffee, lack of sleep, and pair programming were all critical to my success. Most importantly, I learned how to learn.
